Here's a flowchart to quickly guide you while an earthquake occurs.
DURING AN EARTHQUAKE: (for more thorough instructions)
Stay put wherever you are!!!
- If you're indoors,
1. stand against a wall near the centre of the door.
2. Stand in a doorway.
3. Crawl under heavy furniture.
4. Stay away from windows and outside doors.
5. Don't use elevators!! (unless you want to get stuck for hours)
- If you're outdoors,
1. Stay in the open way from power lines or anything that might fall.
2. If possible, stay away from buildings.
- If in the car,
1. Park in a safe area if possible. If all else fails, stop the car where you're at.
2. Run out of the car to an open area.
